I used oil paint on a 16 x 20 canvas to paint the image of a Syrian boy. I created this work as a part of a class, relating it into my series of paintings. The overarching theme of my paintings is “The Brokenness of Humanity”. Here, the effects of the current US war on terrorism effects citizens of the middle east, many of which are children. This is something I am passionate about and is close to my heart.
