Blue moon

By Carvela, Age 12, New Zealand

Idiom: The blue moon. Meaning: To do something “once in a blue moon” is to do it rarely: “That company puts on a good performance only once in a blue moon.” The phrase refers to the appearance of a second full moon within a calendar month, which actually happens about every thirty-two months. In the picture we see a blue moon (the main part of the idiom) with a little harmless face over looking the beautiful peaceful earth. For details I added a bit of sun in the corner and added luminance flares of light. For space I added galaxy/nebula texture to it to make it stand out.
